Right People. The clinic.

Ah, the elusive Right People.
The ones who actually need your stuff. The ones who are waiting for you.
The ones who really don’t care that you still have days (lots of them!) when you basically think that your thing is boring, unoriginal and completely lacking in value.
They like your style.
They know the kind of people who would think your stuff is awesome. And they tell them. Because they can’t stop talking about you.
We need more Right People. Or maybe we just need to find them. Or to figure out what to say to them. This is where the clinic comes in.

Who this clinic is for:
Well, for one thing, you’re probably one of my Right People.
You hang out on the blog (though maybe not in the comments). You don’t think it’s even slightly weird that my business partner is a duck. You’re into the whole destuckying your stuff thing, even if it’s weird and kind of scary most of the time.
I like you.
See? That was easy.
In terms of general biggification stuff, you might be just starting out (or even about to start out).
Or you might already be fairly biggified but just need a leetle more help with connecting with your right Right People instead of the ones in some annoying theoretical “target market” (ew).
And you’d like the whole process of spreading the word to be … less hard and sucky. Right on.
Where I hint at some of the fabulous stuff we’re covering:
- Why the concept of Right People is not at all the same as things like “target markets” (blech) and “psychographics” (yawn).
- How to interact with your Right People — so they jump up and down because they’re so excited that you actually exist.
- What to do when you’re 99.9% sure that you have no Right People, and that even if they did exist there can’t be more than two of them and you wouldn’t know where to find them anyway.
- Why you don’t need a niche. Or to “niche down” like all the boring biggified experts say. I say “screw niche!” And I say it a lot.
- How to get clear about who your people are, what they’re like and where they are.
- When playing hard-to-get trumps …. well, everything else, really. And how to do it.
The set-up.
Part 1: We do a 90 minute group session, by phone, on Saturday, August 29.
We’ll figure out exactly where you’re getting stuckified, and I will teach some Important Principles and I will give some very smart advice. Plus some optional homeworks.
Part 2: Then you have two entire months until the next class.
Two entire months to:
- collect and send me all your additional questions so that I can give you feedback and make sure we cover them all in our second meeting.
- work on all the mini-homework-bits from the first session.
- plot, plan and biggify like mad.
You’ll also have access to a special password-protected place to leave all your thoughts, comments and questions. You can use that space to ask for help, give it to others or post your homeworks if you feel like it. And I’ll be hanging out there too.
Part 3: Then we’ll do another 90 minute group phone session on Saturday, November 7th.
I’ll make sure we get to your specific issues, so that we can help you and your Right People … get closer to each other. Rowr. Well, maybe not like that.
NOTE: I will be recording calls in case there are people who can’t call in, but I will not (this is a promise) be sharing these recordings ever with anyone who is not actually in the class.

Why you need this:
The thing with Right People is that once you have them? You’re done with the “m”-word. Once they’re hanging out with you on a regular basis, you don’t have to woo anyone.
You don’t have to impress them or convince them of anything. Or spend your time writing promotional emails and stuff like that.
It makes everything you do that much more … harmonious. The harmoniousness. It rocks.

The cost:
Joining the Right People clinic costs $179.
I’m not into selling the hell out of things so I don’t have a lot to say about this, other than that working with me one-on-one coaching is next to impossible and very not cheap.
I should also say here that I’m limiting this to a very, very tight group so that everyone gets personal attention.
Because I’m capricious (pisces much? why yes). And because these things tend to fill up ridiculously quickly.
This is not to pressure you or anything, because again, ew. Just that yes, in the past, classes I’ve offered have sold out within a day or two.
EDIT: whoah, it did fill up super fast (within the first twenty-four hours) – sorry if you missed it.
No longer available.
See you at the clinic. And if not, I’ll see you on the blog!

Here are some “Right People”-centric resources from my blog:
- What if my stuff is boring and useless?
- What if no one is interested in my thing?”
- What if I do everything right and I’ll still never be popular or anything?
- What if I’m so ashamed of being seen as a shameless self-promoter that I can’t stop saying the words shameless self-promotion?
- What if I just don’t want anyone to look at me?
