Exciting! This is where you’ll find schedule stuff and general informations.
Keep in mind:
- There is a glossary at the bottom of the page if any of the stuff referenced in the daily schedule is confusing the hell out of you.
- This schedule may change. What’s up here now is what we know right now. But it’s not written in stone. I’ll give you the finalized version when I have it!

GLOSSARY:
Be there = be there. If for whatever reason you can’t be there, I need you to check in with me and let me know.
30 Minutes of Moving Mindfully (optional)
This is a short morning thing to help you wake up, get centered and make sure it’s a good day. We’ll do something different every day: a gentle stretching class, free-form dancing, tandava (the softer dance of shiva), line dancing, folk dancing moves, you name it.
Totally fine for non-morning people. None of it requires being very awake or being in shape or anything like that.
Morning Session (be there) †
Content, baby! Selma and I teach Useful Concepts and we do some exercises.
Shivanautical Flailing Around (be there)
Wacky brain training madness. Damn.
Your Seventy Minutes (this is yours to do what you want with it)
This is where you have an opportunity to work on a thing or to use some of our exercises to go deeper into your own destuckification process. You can use this time for writing, talking to yourself and taking notes. I’ll give you more of a framework for this on our first day, so no worries!
Introvert Recovery Time (optional, of course)
This is time to be with yourself. Naptime? Going for a walk? Avoiding people like the plague? Whatever you need. It’s for you. We do some intense stuff during retreat, so it’s more than fine to use this time to hide.
Destuckification Session (be there) †
Don’t miss these, if you can help it. I teach a Useful Thing, we brainstorm, I answer questions. This is the good stuff.
Old Turkish Lady Yoga (optional)
Super-gentle and ridiculously relaxing. No experience necessary. You don’t need to be at all in shape or bendy or anything. If you were an old Turkish lady, this is exactly the kind of yoga you’d do. And since we’re all really old Turkish ladies and don’t know it, this is fun. Plus I work in whatever destuckification themes we’re currently working on into the practice.
The Pirate High Jedi Council (be there)
Our evening Chicken Check-in. Closing the day. Figuring out what we need. Being heard. If you have to miss this, please let me know. Not-optional.
Twenty Minutes of Evening Wackiness (optional)
Some kind of meditative thing that involves movement and/or sound. Extremely optional. Relaxing. And of course you can sit afterwards for as long as you want, so if you’d like to use this as a way to ease into meditation, that’s awesome. And if you just want to do your 20 minutes and take off, that’s fine too.
Types of things we do: stretching/meditation, walking meditation, nigunim, visualizations, singing pirate chanteys …

† Some of what we cover in Morning and/or Destuckification sessions:
- The art and science of deshouldifying
- Talking to your monsters, internal critics and mean little voices: how to do it (without feeling like crap)
- Combining hard and soft techniques to your advantage
- Resistance (how it works and what to do about it without being impressed by it)
- Meeting yourself where you are without going back into the stuck
- Getting to the point where you kind of like yourself without having to love yourself (unless you feel like it)
- Creating a practice that fits YOU … and solving the “what if I can’t keep it up” problem
I know we talk about these concepts on the blog, but here we’re going to be learning how to apply them so they’re an integral, sustainable, good part of your life.
