The Fluent Self - When you need some destuckification.

Camp Biggification, baby

–> NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Access your superpowers.
Dissolve fear of biggification.

Then we’ll activate those powers, come up with a fun, doable plan and get you moving on path to mindful, fabulous, non-scary biggification.

Three days of mad hot Biggification and Destuckification.

With me and my duck. Live at The Playground.

What it is.

  • We’re taking the “if” out of Biggification! Then we’re making fun of me for saying that.
  • We’re learning how our powers work and activating them.
  • We’re figuring out the Right People thing and practicing the art of hard-to-get marketing.
  • And we’re getting you ready to be as successful as you can possibly stand!

Among other things, we’ll:

Destuckify your fear of being visible (wanting to be seen and not wanting it). And learn ways to sneak around it.

Healing any worry that if you become super biggified, you’ll lose your integrity.

Getting over the what-if monster of losing your life to insane busy-ness and stress. And coming up with a smart plan to totally avoid it.

Shining your light in a way that isn’t gross or obnoxious, but does bring you and your Right People together (whether you know who they are or not).

Practice. Lots and lots of practice.

Ninja invisibility training (and how to activate it at will). Serious protection magic to help you feel comfortable being seen — but only by those who need to.

Why your business (or whatever you’d like to biggify) needs this.

  • If some part of you is secretly wanting not to be seen …
  • If some part of you fears the horrible things that could happen to you and to your time if you get more biggified …
  • If some part of you thinks that your monsters are right and this isn’t going to work …

If that’s what’s going on, pretty much all the other work you do to biggify your thing:

  • happens agonizingly slowly,
  • gets completely sabotaged, or
  • just doesn’t happen at all.

And that sucks.

Because when that’s what’s happening, you can work crazy hours and still not feel like you’re getting things done.

Self-sabotage = normal.

And understandable. And also incredibly frustrating.

When the biggifying starts to happen, that’s exactly when we start hurling monkey-wrenches into the works.

Stuff like …

  • what if once I’m all biggified I turn into an ass and lose all my integrity
  • or I end up having no time for myself
  • and then I lose all my friends because they’ll be jealous and hate me
  • ugh and then I won’t even like myself
  • plus I’m probably not good enough (and not ready anyway)
  • and I’ll still feel like crap
  • and what if none of this has any point and this isn’t what I’m meant to doooooo!!!

I know, I know. Exactly.

You’ll learn how to trust yourself and what to do to destuckify when you don’t.

You’ll move out of the cycle of subconsciously (or consciously) messing things up for yourself and create a cycle of things that are awesome.

THE WHEN AND WHERE:

June 15th — 18th, 2010. In Portland, Oregon.

At The Playground, my ridiculously fun studio.

We begin Toozday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. and we end Friday at noon.*

* And then you have the weekend to recover and integrate instead of rushing back into things. Though you’re more than welcome to stay and have a lazy Friday afternoon lunch with me and Selma if you like!

Wednesday, November 3

The Day of Beginnings (upon which we gaily sail away on the HMS Biggification!

  • 5–7pm Orientation and beginnings.
Learning how the ship of Biggification works. Getting to know each other a bit, plus some semi-wacky rituals and Useful Tools that you will need.
  • 7–8:30 Dinner
  • 8:30–9:15 Garish Pirate Troll Princess High Jedi Council (of Doom!) It may involve magic wands. I’m not sure.

Thursday, November 4

The Day of Processing the Process (meta!)

I have said many a time that there is no biggification without destuckification. This is the day we learn all the skills, rituals and my best tricks for:

  • recognizing when your stuff is coming up
  • having specific things to do when your stuff comes up (things that get you back into clarity, focus, and enthusiastic doing)
  • taking care of yourself while you’re working on your stuff

This involves both silly and serious things like games, treasure maps, writing, doodling, investigating and finding things out.

Then for the rest of our week together oh right, the rest of your life, you will have a personalized process for destuckifying your stuff whenever it comes up without being impressed by the fact that it exists.

Really you should just come for this. Because this will save you months (if not years) of pain, worry and agonizing decision-making.

Friday, November 5

The Day of Deconstruction and Discovering Useful Things

(possibly with your spyglass!)

This is where we figure out what our blocks to biggification look like and how they disguise themselves.

We destuckify them, process them, move them around and deconstruct them.

There will be dixie cups and safe rooms and information-gathering and bubble-blowing. It will be fun.

Saturday, November 6

The day of Endless Horizons

(play, possibility, much destuckifying)

Oh boy! You-ness, Right People, connecting to your people, bringing your thing into the world (without having to define what exactly it is).

By the end of today you will have a much clearer idea of what your thing is and why it’s valuable, but you also won’t care so much about having to “get it right” and you won’t be stressing out over having to explain it coherently.

We’ll also learn about the science of establishing the culture of your kingdom and business so it feels fun and comfortable and safe for you and your people to hang out there.

Sunday, November 7

The day of Rebuilding

(and implementing the Useful Things you discovered)

We’re figuring out the sexy art of hard-to-get marketing: how to create enclaves of welcoming and belonging for the kind of people you like.

We’ll practice sovereignty stuff, learn about our kooky, fabulous kingdoms and get better at everything we’ve been working on.

Also: building small (or large, if you like) committed communities of passionate fans.

(Except they’re not so much fans as the kind of people whom you adore as much as they adore you — the kind of people you want to play with and adventure with).

This will be considerably more fun than it sounds.

Monday, November 8

The Day of Extreme Resting!

(a most-of-the-day-off retreat from retreating)

Today is the day where we learn how to implement recovery and integration into the life of a biggified person.

Because rest is not only the duty of the queen (or king), it is the first duty.

You may do with this day what you wish:

Nap. Scribble. Run away.

Here is what I’m going to do with mine. And what I highly recommend, if you are looking for a thing to be done:

Grove Park Inn has a spa that can only be described as glorrrrious. It is outrageously great.

Whether you go in for a full-on goo-slathering or just get a quickie manicure, spending the day in the pools (hot, warm and cold), steam, sauna, lolling around by the water is pretty much the best thing ever.

You can let everything you’ve learned here absorb into your bones. And drink fruity drinks. Or have a beer.

This may in fact be your favorite day. But I’ll let you in on a secret: *whispers* It’s not really a day off.

Instilling the lesson deep in your body that all growth is supported by (and happens faster with) intentional loving self-care. That we give through getting better at receiving.

Something we all need to understand in order to biggify in a big and mindful way.

Toozday November 9

The Day of Preparation:

(bringing it all home)

Assimilation and implementation!

Learning how to bring back everything you have learned, experienced, processed.

Creating treasure maps that are actually plans and systems and full of smart things.

Rituals, tricks, techniques, transitions, spells, all sorts of goodness.

Wed November 10

The Day of the Next Round of Beginnings:

(we return to the world feeling strong, powerful, expectant, prepared and playful)

A departure from this magical world of play and hilarity but the you-who-has-been-through-this-experience is now fully equipped to infuse every aspect of your life with the things you have learned here.

So it is not so much a departure as a moving through.

And we will have done a ton of work on how to destuckify transitions and make them work for you, so you will be very good at the moving through by this point.

There will be Awkward Inadequate Mediated goodbyes, some goofy rituals and important, useful things.

Please do not miss this.
