@Chandler – Monster Open House! That’s my favorite band. Awesome.

@Rupa + Kat – yeah I was thinking maybe RALLY HO! But that could also end up being obnoxious rather than funny. Well, we’ll see. And we will wear hats, most definitely. RALLY HO!

@Chris – totally. when the rally rises again. Hell, when we do it again we might need to call the second one The Rally Rises Again. I love it!

@Emmanuelle – ohmygosh ohmygosh it would be SUCH fun if you could make it. It is ridiculous that we have not met in person yet, and anyway, not getting to go to Berlin (in August!) is too tragic to not have something fun instead. That would be amazing.

Times are: Monday, AUGUST 16 at 5pm through Thursday, AUGUST 19 at 7pm. Though if you have to miss a bit, better to miss the end than the beginning.

I'm always up for being a fly on the wall—especially since I'm always wishing that other people could be a fly on my wall when I come up with something I'm proud of. So I'm way excited for the book—I'm all signed up. And while I'll have to miss the Rally (sad face) in order to have a little open-house for my monsters that week, I'll be there in spirit. Maybe it was Kathleen’s comment (“Rally, I do!”) that makes me think ‘New England’ when I hear “Rallyite.” It sounds lovely, kind of exclusive –definately a hat kind of event, though.

I’m thinking, “Rallywag,” personally. Although, in the spirit of The Big Book of You, it only seems fair that attendees should choose. I will miss you.

Havi,

This was just meant to be. This very morning, I had to cancel a trip to Berlin (wah!) so now I have plenty of time on my hands (yay! Kind of).

And what better way to spend free time than at a Rally, really? ;)

Do you already have an idea of the start time on Aug. 16 / end time on Aug. 19? That would be very helpful to book my flights, as I am only an hour away and might be able to wing it (my, I am full of puns today) by flying in the morning of the Rally.
