@Mark - you're so right. And having someone in your external space is such a bigger transition (well, in my internal space) than it was making the jump to having a VA. Thanks for modeling it for me!

@JoVE - thanks, my dear! You are absolutely right. It's all connected and yeah, I am hoping for a kinder teacher next time, but I think it will also help me *be* a kinder teacher. At least, I hope so. Argh, stupid life lessons. :)

Asking for help, hiring help, bringing help into the house... just so's you know, was a huge transition for me, too.

I'm so celebrating that you jumped, and that you aren't going back. It is amazing.

One of the biggest myths going is that a business can be successful with just one person.

That is a great list of things. And I love the look of the new shop page. Sounds like that "business is all grown up" and "I can work half-days" are related. Sorry it took serious pain to realize all this.

<img src="http://fluentself.com/images/blog/ducks/Selma_tinyW.png">

@Josiane - oh that's really sweet. Thank you for adding to my list!

@Hiro - couldn't have done it without you, my dear. Your work has been a huge part of the whole "healing process" thing, so thank you for that too ... :)

@Victoria - awesome. I hope this exercise becomes one of those things (like writing a personal ad to my house) that people start doing all over the place. Because that would be the neatest thing ever.

Wow - that is a lot of really big shifting that has happened.

What's most interesting is how this shows me that I can look at something hard in my life, see what *could* be good about it, without demanding or even expecting to feel gratitude right now.

I would imagine even the exercise of looking at the possibly-good-things would start the shift toward actually feeling that gratitude.

Maybe. You know, when the time is right.

Yay, sweet Havi, for this wonderful list of things that are emerging from this awful time of pain and yuck. I'm so very happy for you!

Sending healing blessings for your arms. And happy dances to celebrate all the goodness.

Love and hugs,

Hiro

What a wonderful list! I'm sorry you had to go (and still are going) through so much pain to get these things, but as side effects go, well, these are quite good!
You said it was a lot and enough, but I hope you won't mind if I add one more: your sharing what you are going through and how you are dealing with this experience helps a lot of people. Maybe it's only indirectly something to be grateful for, but still, it's pretty awesome! :)
