I just emailed you, actually, and then found myself reading this by chance. I had this image of myself with a nail file going at one of the bricks, all the old tricks that have ever been in any prison break out film ever, while behind me there's open space. It made me laugh out loud!

I just re-read this after my own week of challenges, mini-roadblocks and general "stuff I was working on", and the video seemed EVEN FUNNIER.

You guys rock.

Oh my goodness!! How did I miss this? How? (I ask you.)

Cuz I read the awesome road-blocky story about you finding your businesses name and everything since this. What was I doing that day? (Ohhhhhh yeah! I remember now. HA)

Glad you enjoyed the video.
It still cracks me up.
;-)

All the best!

Fantastic post! I just wrote an article on my blog about how so many of our obstacles are imaginary! Our mind just loves wrestling with them, and so we create so very many of them.

I like to play "what if" with my roadblocks. What if this perceived roadblock were not there? What would I do? Most often, there's a way to do exactly that. Poof! Roadblock disappears!

I'm off to embed that fantastic video on my blog - great stuff.

Blessings,
Andrea

Havi-- Once again, you and Selma manage to entertain and deliver great information at the same time!

Although it is hard to pick a 'best part' of this entry but "Chances are, you are not the first person in the entire world to ever have had this problem." and "Ask for help" are great reminders because when we are in that one-walled-freaking-the-heck-out-prison of our minds, most people believe they are.

Thanks again!

It's too bad they called the video "govt employees stuck on an escalator," because I don't know anyone who isn't one of these two sometimes.

This is very good. I need to permanently install you in my brain to remind me of these things.

Whenever I remember that in everything I have a choice, I try to tell myself to get out of my own way. No matter what, I choose how to interpret a roadblock, so if I'm not moving forward, it's my own thinking that's the reason why.

Get out of your own way, and make your roadblocks challenges rather than problems.

Sounds great, doesn't it. If only I could easily put it into practice!

Thanks for the reminder that if we stop to examine the roadblock, we can see that it could just be a block to get around, or a wall to tunnel under, or a hurdle to climb over... or a series of blocks that we should use as a staircase to go higher. Looking forward to your how-the-name-evolved story.

And thanks (Deb Own too) for the swell video. (Might be funnier if it's weren't so true...) Many people have the answers to their stuck-ness under their own power and can't even see that for themselves. I can see you at the top, coaching these two boobs to take a step when they were ready. I can see miz naomi charging up from the bottom, drilling: "left, right, left people! Move it!" How wonderful that you two are working together now ~ !
